"Software Agents for Stock Market Trading" - My First Book

Hi everyone,

I just want to share with you that I have published my first book. The book is my project thesis for my master degree. I wrote down all the experiment that I have done for creating software agents for stock market trading. I built my simulation and test the software agents on my simulation using real transaction data.

It gives me a really good result and I think that I can apply it in a real world. At first I am not sure about sharing this as a book, but after a lot of thinking I finally I publish it. I supposed this knowledge can be share with everyone to make people change their mind about putting money on forex or stock market, because in near future all the transaction will be done automatically using software agents. This agents will not be so smart like people, but it will have several advantages for being automatic. It will not have feeling or time limitation so it can control and keep track on the stock market 24hours. The stock market and forex market has already move towards this trend. The question is "Can you beat this agents ?" Because the agents will get money for sure.

Just Back from Indonesia

Hi all,

Already a long time did not write anything. I want to give you an update now. I just get back from Indonesia. I was back there to attend my brother wedding. It was a really great time meet all of my family again. I was so grateful for this opportunity, after being away for 2 years. I am so happy I can be back with my family.

While I am there, I got all the support from all of my family. I am so grateful to have a loving and caring family. Even though all of them has their own trouble, but they still care and want to help me somehow. I know that I always depend everything in someone else. I can not stand by myself. I always looking for an advice for any decision I took. Now it's my time to decide for myself. I will do the best I can and I believe that GOD will blessing me with the best plan HE has. I have already made up my mind that I will do the transaction in forex using Metatrader. I have already learn and I getting more and more confident to put my money on it. I know that I shouldn't in rush since my brother has the experience of losing money on the forex. But I believe that forex will make me a good passive income.

My brother wedding was really beautiful. All of it was a success. Beautiful couple, beautiful party, beautiful church ceremony. I have to admit that it was my favorite one. I don't know why but I am just quite amazed by it. I am so glad that I can be be the organizer and involved in it somehow. I believe that I will be married in a wonderful ceremony someday and I believe that I can build a wonderful family.

If you know what you want. You will get it for sure

Hi, I just want to share my experience just now in finding a room. At first, I just want to make a point. If you really know what you want you will get it for sure. Make a criteria for it. Make the priority. After that just try to search for it. I always ends up with getting what I want. And I hope it will work for you too.

It's all start in your mind. You have to know if you want something. Your mind will create the imagination of what you want. Your mind will create a preference for it and you will know what you want if you see it. To make up your mind you have to know your first priority and start with that. That is quite easy for me. My first priority was to find a cheap place to stay.

In searching for my room I know the price range for the room that I want. So I start by looking in the internet. I imagine my budget will be 250 pounds per month and I have to live near my working place. I start to search for that criteria and I filter the room that I found. In searching the room, I called, I made an appointment and I went to see the room and made the comparison for it. I did not make any promise to anyone until I know exactly which room I want. I just want to give an advice if you want to buy or do something, do not directly buy or do it. Make a comparison first, even though it's only 2 or 3 comparison to another choice, you will be glad because you know that you are doing the right choice. Besides that I guess all of it is just based on your luck. I don't know if you believe on it or not. But I am quite believe in luck. After all the search I found the room only half of my budget in a good location. It has right size, even with a bathroom inside. The only problem is the noise I will have from the pub below, but I will try it anyway. Maybe I just buy an earplug ^^.

If you do not found what you want. I think it will help if you make a time limitation. Just try to decide the best choice within that time. But just keep in mind that you will get what you want. It work for me and finally you will get it for sure. People set their own standart and value. They will get what they want according to their own effort. Are you deserved or not to get what you want ? If you think you can get it then you will get it. If you deserve to get it, you will get it. All of the basic law of the universe will applied on this. You will need to work to get it and if everything in the right place in the right time in the right situation you will get it for sure.

I think that everything is possible. You have to keep your effort high. Keep your dream and keep trying. You will get what you want for sure.

Try to decide what I want to do in life

Hi There,

If you follow me from the start. Maybe you will know that I am still confused with what I want to do in my life. But I tell you now that I will take the decision starting now. I have already asked a lot of people, young or old, professor or little kid, student or worker, In other word, I asked almost everyone. But I did not found a particular answer that suit me. Until recently I think about it again, after I know a little bit about life (from my experience studying, traveling and working). Everything start to make sense for me and I guess I will tell you what I am going to do with my life.

I have searched the answer to "What is the purpose of your life ?" since I finished my undergraduate degree. That time I spend my time in the internet, chatting with a bunch of guys or girls I don't know from all around the world. I just try to figure out what they will say. But unfortunately I didn't get what I want. From my point of view the people that was chatting in the internet still do not know exactly what they want to do in their life and that is why they spend their time chatting in the internet.

After that I get to work and figure out that everyone in my working place just try to finished their job and just try to stay on their job. I learn a lot of new point of view from the employee. And then I move town to continue my job. I get the good life and know how a professionals enjoy their life. After that I get the opportunity to study in Taiwan. I get the experience to study abroad, live far away from my family and start to live independently. Luckily I still have a lot of friend there. After learn this experience I get another scholarship to Europe. I do not have any friends there and I have to start a new life there. As you know I have to move to different countries each 3 months. I have to adapt fast. Everything was quite difficult but everything working out and I get my summer holiday.

I go around Europe during my summer time and I use couchsurfing during the time. I starting to ask the question again to the people I met. And I don't find the perfect answer yet. After that I finished all of my research and I have to make decision once again what I want to do in my life. I can work or do PHD. I still do not know what I should do. I really want to do the PHD but I don't really know. I will still continue my research. I want to become the richest man in the world. I just hope everything will working as it plan. Please pray for me.

I have an advice. Try to decide what you want to do in your life, because whether you will or not, your life will still continue and whether you take the decision or not, The decision will be made. Right now you have to start to make decision so in the future when you look back to your life you will say "I did my Best". And starting now just imagine yourself what you want to be, where you will be in the next year, next five years, next ten years. Just imagine all the situation. I just hope it will help what you want to do with your life.

I have settled down in Birmingham and now I just got a job. I will start at Monday. I will be a PHP Developer. I am quite excited about this. Now I am waiting for the PHD position. I hope that I can get it and I can make my Stock Market Agent dream come true. I really-really want to do this. I just hope that I can and GOD will give me this opportunity.

So to all that still do not know what you want. Just imagine yourself in the next five years. What you want to become ? Who you will be in that time. If that is not enough Imagine what you will become in 10 years. And starting now just imagine what you have to do. What will take you there. Just do it and I am sure you will reach what you want.

T-Mobile Lock the Phone. Really pain in the ass.

Hi all,

I just settle down in Birmingham, UK. I trying to do the same thing I should do everytime I move to a new place. Trying to know the neighborhood, find the supermarket, know where to find internet, etc.

I have quite a problem when I try to find the internet. First I have already doing some research about the internet broadband. At first I need to buy the Dongle. And I buy that with 3 months contract. Everything going well until I can not use Skype. I managed to return that with a really hard time to speak with the manager in Carphone Warehouse.

But after that I guess T-Mobile is the one that have unlimited internet with only 10 pounds. This is a SIM only contract for each month. You can stop it anytime you want, that what they say. I know that after searching the internet I can use my 5800 Nokia as a modem. I buy the contract and then I have it. But after get out from the stores I know that I can not use my old number (Vodafone) in my Nokia 5800 because I will use it as internet. This number is known by all of my friend and I use the number to search for a job. This number is important for me, so I try to buy the cheapest phone I can buy in T-Mobile and try to put my Vodafone inside.

After I put it inside I can not use it because they lock the phone. T-mobile was a really pain in the ass. I don't know about this locking when I buy the phone. I just think that "Pay as you go phone" will not be unlock. I try to go back to the stores and they say that I can unlock the phone by searching in Google. But after some time, I know that I can not do that. I try to contact them using email and they call me in the morning. They say that I need to wait for 3 months until I can unlock it for free. They suggest me to change my vodafone to T-Mobile so I can use it with my phone. And finally I ask "Can I just return my phone ?" and they say yes you can we have 7 days policies for that. The next morning I try to return the phone and they say we do not have 7 days policies for stores. They say it is because "You have know and you have already see the phone in the stores". We do not force you for anything, but I say to them that "I do not know about the locking phone". I mad there and but they say "we can not do anything, it is the rules". I told them that I have already contact T-mobile by email and they say that they have 7 days policies and they say you can contact them again and let them hear about that.

So I am really fed up with this problem and I will try to solve it. Everything was a really mess up. The lessons I get from this is "Do not decide to do something when you are under pressure or under time limit, you have to think about it overnight to decide something, hopefully you will not make a mistakes." Thankfully my case is just really small risk and little amount of money. I still try to solve this problem and I will. So I have only 2 option now.

1. Try to unlock the phone for free. I have already found the program for that but I need the USB Cable (around 3 pounds in Ebay). or trying to unlock using the code.

2. Change my vodafone into T-Mobile number.

I guess I will try to do the first option first, if I can not do it until my vodafone credit is gone I will try to do the option 2.

Now I'm trying to search for a job. Hopefully I will find one soon. Hope me good luck. In case you still do not know, I have finished my dissertation and I have done everything. So next plan is search for a job. Please pray for me.

Almost finish my studies and what next.

Hi all,

I am here because I miss my blog. I am quite busy finishing my dissertation and I am sorry can not update this blog for some time.

Everything is going well now and I almost finish my dissertation. I don't know if I have already mention about it before, my dissertation title is Intelligent Agents for Stock Market Trading. I just create an agent that will trade according with some algorithm and it will simulate on the simulation using real stock market data. Now I have already done all the simulation, I just need to do a little bit more to calculate the fee and I want to make sure if my agent can make profit in the long range. I will have my presentation on 24th of March. I guess everything will be fine, because I think I have already make all the important task and I just need to do a little bit more.

I guess everything is going really well, but I have something more to think about now. The question is "What next ?". This is bothering me so much and I am quite worry about my future, even though I know that I will have a wonderful future and still have a great opportunity. I guess I still a little bit worry about it. There are several options I can do.

1. Search for PHD to continue my research.
2. Search for a job in UK, because I can apply for working visa there.
3. Search for available internship in Summer.
4. Get MBA course (I have already applied), while working.
5. Search for internship for Summer.
6. Back to Taiwan to continue my Master program.

I guess right now I will try to search all the opportunity I can find. I am really worry about this and I will just take all the opportunity I can get. I have already find a place to stay in UK so that place will be my base place before I find the next opportunity, but I just guess I will find it soon, because as you know I am a really lucky guy and the life is easy for me.

New Year 2010 in Thessaloniki

I have a really great time celebrating new years this year. I celebrate the new year count down with the church here. I put one video here so you can know how nice is that. My Christmas Time in Thessaloniki

Hi all,

Today is 25th of December 2009. I have my first Christmas time in Greece. I have a really good time at Christmas last year in UK. And now I get also really wonderful Christmas in Thessaloniki. I will tell you what happen to me on 24th and 25th of December 2009.

At 24th there are 2 families invites me to their house. So I go to the first one in Tom's house around 1 o clock. They invite a lot of people in that party. I stay there until 4 o clock. Here is the photo when I am there.

Then I back home and I go to another family from my church that invite me for dinner. They are a German couple that recently move here to Thessaloniki. We have great conversation and great time together.

After that I go home and sleep.

In the 25th I go to the church and talk with some of the member of the church there. I take a picture with my pastor and a really nice old lady in my church. Here is the picture.

When I am on the church suddenly my friend from couchsurfing send me an SMS and asking me if I have plan for that day and he invite me to his house to eat lunch with his family. I directly accept his invitation. I don't have a plan anyway. Then I eat really big meals on his place.

I have a wonderful time on Christmas. I just hope it will be the same as your Christmas time.

TIps and Trick for Cheap Travel in Europe

Hi all back again writing for the tips and trick,

I was doing a lot of traveling in my summer. Like I say in my previous post, I have already traveling around Europe. I travel with quite little amount of money compare with other people but I am not doing that much compare to the one that really-really don't have money. I will explain later the difference. I will tell you about the tips and trick for traveling in Europe.

1. Transport.

- Low Cost Airlines (Ryanair and Easyjet)
For transport I use Ryanair flight which is really cheap. I get the promotion ticket for 1 euro that time. So everytime I fly I just spent 1 euro. So that time I will just look at their map (where they fly) and then I just make the route and find the promotion ticket. Usually they have the promotion almost everyweek, just register with them and you will have the promotion sent to your email. The problem with this Ryanair is the airport is quite far from the city so you need to spend more money to get on the bus or train to get to the city. The other problem is there are so many regulation that you have to pay attention to, otherwise you will pay more money. You will be allowed to bring only 1 bag for 10 kg (55cm x 40cm x 20cm), for your carry hand baggage. For more information about baggage you can find out (here) You will need to print your boarding pass or otherwise you will need to pay 40 euro in the airport.

- Local Transport
I always go to the tourist information office for the information of everything. Usually you will have a free map and all the information you need. You can ask for the daily ticket or any ticket that is for tourist. It will save you quite money if you using it a lot, but everything is depend on how you want to travel. For sure it will be cheaper to walk all around.

- HitchHike
I haven't use this but I guess I want to try to use it some time in the future. I have meet quite a lot of people doing this and they say it is working and this is the cheapest way for the transport. The tips and trick I get from them is just find the road to get out from the city, write your destination in cartoon or big paper and then just raise your tumb. One of them say that the longest time for them to get the pick up is 1 hour even that he already traveling around europe.

2. Place to sleep

- Couchsurfing and Hospitality Club
I use couchsurfing in almost all places I have been in Europe, but in some cities I stay with my friend. Couchsurfing and Hospitality Club is the website that people can offer their house for someone to sleep on for free. Usually is for several days and they want to host people to make friends and meeting other people from different culture. My tips and trick of staying in couchsurfing is just be nice and just do whatever you can to help your host, for instance washing dishes is one of the simplest one. If you can cook, cook for them. If they ask you to go out for a drinks, pay for their drinks also (if you have quite money to do that). All the other that you need, you can read in their profile I guess, what they like, what they don't like. And always write personal message. What I mean by personal is maybe at least more than 3 lines. You can explain yourself and why you want to go there.

- Cheap hostel
In Europe there are a lot of cheap hostel. You can find most of them easily, by looking in some website like www.hostelworld.com or www.hostel.com. You can read the rate and their location there. You can ask in tourist information also if you have already in the city.

- In airport or park
I know some people that doing this. They bring sleeping bag or tent and they can sleep anywhere. But it is quite dangerous if you do in the winter. In summer is fine but that is my last option. There is no point of doing this because compare to couchsurfing you will have a comfortable place to sleep also for free.

3. Food.

- Bread from supermarket
That is the cheapest one I can find. I don't know about the food you usually have but this works for me. I just buy the bread, ham and some cheese and put it together to become a sandwich. I eat this for my breakfast, lunch and dinner.

- Cook
If you can cook and if you using couchsurfing you can cook for them. You can buy all the stuff you need in the supermarket and use their kitchen to cook. There is only 1 times that I failed ^^. All the other host really like my cooking.

- FastFood
I guess the next option is the fast food. A lot of people do not feel like to eat fast food because they think that is not healthy. But it works for me as long as it was the cheapest one. I guess in Europe Fast Food is the cheapest one, but not in Asia. So just take a look on the price first before you decide.

- Restaurant or Bar
The next option for me is restaurant and bar. You can not avoid it if you using the couchsurfing with the guy that don't eat fast food. So just follow them, you can offer to cook for them but if it's already the time to eat .. just eat. You can separate the bills or if you have some money you can pay for him also.

4. Go around the city

- Plan where you go
You have to know at least what you want to visit in that place. All the rest you can ask the information on the place. But even if you don't know anything about the city you can ask in tourist information. Usually there always 1 in each airport or in the train station or in the city center.

- Tourist Information
It's always good to visit tourist information. Usually you can have free map. They can explain you all the time schedule what to visit and all the free places you can go. This is the favourite question I always ask.
"I will be here for ... days can you suggest me where to go and what to see ?"
"Is there any free places or free museums ?"
"What is the most famous monument/place in this city ?"
"Is there are any travel/pass card for tourist ?"

-Information from couchsurfing host
There are more information you can get from your couchsurfing. Sometimes you will have something that even the tourist information forget to tell you about. Or maybe he know the beautiful places that is not shown on the map. One of the advantages if they can have the time to show you around the city. So what I say to you is just use couchsurfing. Of course if you are a girl I am not recommend you to travel alone using this. At least have 1 friend with you.

My summer experience

After a long time not writing this Blog. Finally I am back. I will catch up with you because there are so many things happen.

The first one is my summer holiday. I get three months summer holiday which is really-really long period of time. I want to return to my country Indonesia, but I have to pay a lot for that. So in the end my parents just told me to stay in Europe and try to save money. It's not worth to spend the money on the flight ticket and then doing nothing in my country. I guess that is the best advice I got. So I am beginning my journey to go around Europe.

I will make it short because 3 months is too long to describe all. So I will just write down only the important stuff. I am traveling with Ryanair and they say it's the cheapest airlines in Europe. I get the promotion ticket which is only 1 euro each time I fly, so I make the route and book many flights that time. Then I have another problem because I will spend a lot of money in hostel and other stuff, but my friend told me about couchsurfing and this is really change my life. I stay with someone in couchsurfing in different countries for free. I will describe all of this in my later post. But for now I will keep short. I will just tell you all the countries I went in summer. Here is the list :

So I guess that is the list of the country I have been in the summer. I am sorry I can not write all of my experience one by one but I will tell you more information about my long summer trip on the next post. I will try to write down all of my travel experience in Europe. I will also explain a little bit about the tips and trick how to do that.

Baptized today ... and God answering the question of my life

Hi there,

I am so happy today because I have been baptized. I don't feel much different though. After baptized I expect something spectacular, but I just feel the same as before ^^.

There is something different today though, in this big occasion of my life. God answer my question, the question I have been asking for several years. The question I have been asking for is "What is the purpose of my life ?". My friends here in Madrid giving me one book as gift for my baptism that maybe is God answer to that particular question. I don't even talk about this particular question to my friend here in Madrid, because we just meet for several weeks, so in the end I just think that this is God answer through my friends.

The title of the book is "THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE" by Rick Warren, I am sure that this book can answer my question. This book will take 40 days for me to read. The book explain why we need 40 days to read it. There will be 40 chapter to read and we have to read one chapter each day and think about it before continuing to next chapter. I will dedicate my time to read this book everyday in the next 40 days, even though I have exam in next day and next week. I think it will be fine because I will need to only read one chapter each day.

I will face my exam tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day after that and in the next several weeks. So I really need your help. Please pray for me so God will give me strengths. I believe He will give me all the best, and I can face the exam easily.

I will do my dissertation in Greece

Hi,

I want to tell you all that I have to do my dissertation in Greece. After a long process of thinking and asking for supervisor, finally they told me that I have to do my dissertation in Greece. Maybe this is the way GOD want for me. Actually I have already thinking about it a lot and I have already imagined that I will be in Greece. My professor have already agreed my proposal so I do not have anything else to worry about.

Oh maybe there is something I have to worry about. That is about my visa to go to Greece. I know that I can go to Greece using the student visa I get from Spain, but they told me that I have to apply for another student card for Greece. It will be different, I still do not know about it and I guess I will have to handle this situation by myself because it's looks like no one knows about it.

I will take a look on Greece embassy website, how to apply the visa and how to fulfill all of the requirements. I will try to figure about it before I go to another country, but I'm sure that I can finish all of this before go to another country for summer.

And about the summer. I plan to work for summer internship, I have apply a lot but I still do not know if I'm going to get the job or not. Besides I have already plan to traveling around Europe also, I plan to go to Skandinavian Country, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherland, Paris and Poland. I do not know if I am going to be able to visit all of this countries but that is my plan for now. It might have a little change but overall this is the plan.

The movie touch me and I wish I can do something to this earth, but I do not know what I can do. But someday I'm sure I can do something for earth and human kind.

In Spain

Hi there,

I am in Spain .. now. I met several Indonesian student here, they all so nice to me. I have been to several city in Spain (Madrid, Granada, Toledo, Valencia, Barcelona). I will post you for the photo later because until now I still haven't see them yet. I do not know what is happening but for sure I feel that I do not have time to do everything, even though I watch movies and traveling for some time but I always feel that I do not have enough time here, I don't know why. In here I don't like my place but I can not do anything because I have paid the deposit, I live with one family that have a baby. The baby (one year) is always shouting without reason and the husband and wife often fighting. I don't like it to be in this situation. But anyway I will be in UK or Greece, I will only need to hang on for another month, hope I can stand it.

Let me tell you about my project now. I will do my theses project in Stock Market Trader Agent. The idea is to buy and sell the stock automatically. The agent should make the decision to buy and to sell. Right now I have been assigned to UK to do the project, but I still confuse because until now I still can not find supervisor there. I am really glad to be assigned in Reading, but after talk with other people and can't find supervisor there, I don't mind if I have to go to Greece. I will post to you later where I will be for the project. Right now both is okay with me. I think I will wait for my coordinator decision. I don't mind at all to go to UK or Greece.

I will explain to you also my comparison between UK and Greece. In UK there wouldn't be any trouble in communication because they use English. I have a lot of friends there and it will be so nice to be there. There wouldn't be any language boundaries to work in UK. While In Greece, you will have free food and you do not need to cook. You will save a lot of money by staying there. The teacher will help you for sure doing your theses. All the comparison I made is only the positive one, because I will be assigned in one of this places anyway, so I need to be in positive energy about the place.

Hope I will be assigned in the place I should be. I am really confuse now and still can't decide what should I do. I just keep praying and hoping that I can have the best of it. I just wait for GOD decision for me. I am sure He will give me the best place to go. I believe in Him.

Aegean Sea

Sorry, because I have already abandon you for some time, because there are so many assignment right now I have to face.

The first assignment is Neural Network and Fuzzy logic, we have to build a program to handle the classification in Neural Network and the fuzzy logic we have to build the model for some dataset. For both of them we use Matlab.

The second assignment is come from database course. There is two assignment in database, one is presentation and the other is data mining task.

In presentation we are divided into 7 groups consist of 3 people. and we have to choose different topic that our professor interested in. There is some restriction we have to face in making the group because there is people who don't have any computer background should not be in the same group. Another restriction we have are We only have one week to prepare the presentation and the report. We chose a topic about Text Mining. This is really broad area and in here we just try to explain everything and not so deep, and apparently our professor think that we don't understand much about this topic. But I think we handle the presentation quite well.

In data mining task we are also divided in groups, but here we are given the dataset from KDD Cup 99 which is handle with intrusion detection. In here we have to know if we have the intrusion, and classify them into 4 different class of intrusion. One of my friend in Taiwan make this one as his thesis in his master degree. I was surprise that we have this kind of project in only 2 weeks course. We only have time one month to do all of this stuff. Thankfully we have WEKA as our tools, otherwise we don't know what to do.

The third assignment we have are Virtual Reality in Human Computer Interaction. In here we have group also, with different task. We choose the most simple one, that is building Robot with VRML. We have to create the interface to control the robot. The other have to deal with Speech recognition, GPS System and other stuff. I guess we are really lucky to get this kind of task. I will do it right after I finish my assignment in Data Mining and Neural Network.

The last but not least is the assignment from E-Business. In here we have to build some application with PHP, that is what I know anyway from the information. We still haven't do the class, So I still don't know what we will face in this, but what I know is maybe it will be big application, and it will have personal assignment ... maybe, not group anymore.

And in the last week we will have the exam for all of the courses. We have to study about all of the slide in one week, I will try to read from now, I still have around four weeks before the exam. I guess I can manage to study all the material.

Okay, hope you have the picture of what I am doing right here in Thessaloniki, Greece. They put a lot of information to us and they hope we manage to get all the information. They already reduce the number of information but anyway they have a lot of time, I mean in one semester for other student, and we only have like 2 weeks for one course. Too much information in relatively short time.

Hi There,

Last time I told you the story about travel alone in Thessaloniki. Right now I will tell you how GOD answering my question.

The day before yesterday, I ask to my friend, Should I give the money to the church and how much to give ? And after that, yesterday, He answer me. I never have direct answer from GOD before, but right now I know that GOD do that to me. Yesterday, I attend the christian community here in Greece (the name of the community is Campus Crusade, you can find the "Agape Student" group in facebook). They hold an event every year. The first meeting after New Year, they will cut a big cake and there is a coin inside. Everyone who get the coin will get 50 euro as the price.

And you know ... I am the one who get it. I don't know what you think of it ... about this situation, but I think that GOD is answering my question. He is really nice to me. I hope He will be nice to you also.

That's all for my write today. I feel that I am really lucky and I am really happy winning the 50 euro money.

Travelling alone in Thessaloniki

Hi there,

Right now, I have already in Thessaloniki for one and a half week. So far so good, I like the free food here. I don't know what is the reason that the student here get free food. I really like it because I don't have to expense my money. I have already found the church here, and I might like the church here. They are really nice people and there is also free food after the service. Some cakes and other stuff.

Few days ago I go by myself to the White Tower. I found that the place is really nice. This is the first time I go alone, I never go by myself before, I am really dependent, I don't like that. But because of my room mate here don't like to go travelling and prefer to stay at home, I prefer to go by myself than staying at home.

My friend Anna want to go to Meteora today, in her birthday. I want to join her, but because that I have to wait for my friend, so we can't catch the bus and can't make it. I don't like this situation, waiting for someone and being punished because of someone else. Later I might consider myself more than another person. Or if I have to make some appointment I will make sure that everyone is not messing with me and take it all seriously. Because of his mistake right now Anna celebrate her birthday alone in Meteora

New Years Eve and Thessaloniki

Already leave you for some time ... Sorry for that. I will tell you my new years eve experience, then I tell you the story how I got to Thessaloniki. I have really wonderful experience in New Years Eve. We go to the London Eye to see the fireworks. It was really amazing. We admire the fireworks. This is the photo that I took. After that night we back to Reading directly. And sleep in bed after that right away. I get back in Reading maybe 5:00 in the morning.

In 7 Jan 2009.

I go to Thessaloniki using British Airways. We (I and my Vietnamese friend) sleep in the airport that night. After that we go to Thessaloniki by British Airways. After we got to Thessaloniki we pay too much for the taxi, it takes about 25 euro which the right price is 15 euro. And after that we go to our flat and I found that our room is quite nice and everything is good, and then after that I go to several place in Thessaloniki. I hope the picture can explain everything.

Hi there,

Now is boxing day, one day after Christmas. They call it boxing day because in the old days they put the money in box for the offering in Christmas day, and in this boxing day all the money is in the box already empty because they already decide to give to charity or other places.

I will tell you what I am spent in Christmas day and today. In the morning of Christmas day I go to church and attend the ceremony there. And after that I go by feet to Indonesian friend (Lexy family). There is so many food there. I am quite amazed. There is Turkey, Opor, Lodeh, Bakso and Rujak Gobet. I am really full that time. Really enjoy that time and actually we been there until 1:30 and Dimas (one of my Indonesian friend ) take me home to Bridges Hall.

And in the boxing day I go to British Family house to eat lunch there. They provide me complete christmas dinner. Appetizer mushroom and cheese and then the main meal is Turkey with complete vegetables like Sprouts and other, and the last one for the dessert is Christmas Pudding and Jelly. There is something special about the Christmas Pudding, because it is come from the Queen. Their Son is working in Windsor Castle and for christmas they each have one. It must be the best one, or the expensive one. But I think the taste is the same ^^. I keep the name secret maybe because I still don't know them much and maybe they don't want to be exposed. I hope to show this picture is okay.

After that we talk a lot, about everything I guess, from Language, History, Culture, dissaster ... almost everything. and before I leave I take photo with the family, Here is the photo that I took with them

They are really nice family. The father is working in National Heritage, they keep the note that are important for all nation, and make them public. And the mother is working in Reading University as Lecturer. And their Son is studying in Master about History. Unfortunately the father maybe choked by food and that is why he feeling unwell all the time, and he in upstairs and not talking with us. We talk a lot and it's already 6, the father even go down to talk with us. I think they want to cook dinner maybe or want to do something else, but they don't know what they should say. At the last momment the father say something like I should drive you home to the other Student. And after that we get home. I feel that they are really nice for having us that many hours. Hope that it will happen again in the future. I want to know and make friends with many nice people. And I guess there is no wrong in develop friendship.

Hi there,

Sorry I left you without any writing, my diary. Now I already in UK for almost three months. I quite happy here. I make a lot of friend, and they are really nice to me. I have a lot of fun here. traveling around UK is really amazing. I have already go to Edinburg Scotland, that is really nice place. Besides that I have already go to Windsor, Bath, Oxford, and London for many times. I really glad that I can receive the scholarship. I think that God is really nice to me. I am happy because my coordinator (Nia Alexandrov) telling me that I can come back for my thesis here. And I plan to have really good thesis, I will do my best for it.

Right now everything is really right and nice for me. There is so many friends helping me here around. I have nothing to worry about if I will live in UK but because I have to move to Greece, I feel a little bit worried about the riot in Greece. But I believe that God will protect me and bless me with everything that is good. Now is Christmas Eve ... I hope that I can be with my family in this special night, But ... I can't

Hi meet you guys one more time :D

Now I already finish my problem in Taiwan. I already told the professor that I get Erasmus Mundus scholarship, and I already told the academic that I won't be back to Taiwan and she suggest me to take a break fro two years. I take that one because if I decided to quit, I won't be able to study in Taiwan again, and I have to take the exam as local student.

Right now I already back to my home and I don't know what to do now, besides continue to working the visa for UK. I need to go to Jakarta because the British embassy need to get the 10 fingerprint of mine (biometric data). I plan to go to my uncle office in Jakarta, and I hope that all is happen as it plan to be, I already imagine that I can get everything that I want, including take care all of the paperwork I need to do before leaving to UK.

I need to have the effort, and I know that I will get what I want.

My Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

Hi ... everyone ...

I am really really happy right now, because I have been confirmed that I get Erasmus Mundus scholarship. GOD already make my dream come true. I really hope that I can get the scholarship from the first time I know about this scholarship. I fell that I am not qualified for one of the candidate, but GOD is always kind to me, and He make me get accepted in this scholarship. I am felling lucky. After this I will follow the path that GOD given me, I will try all the best I can do to get what I want but I trust that GOD can make my plans better. I trust Him because He will give me the best for me.

I will tell you about my erasmus mundus program. I will study in different country UK, Greece and Spain. And I will study only 3 months in each of the country. In the end I will get the degree from three university that I already study for. How great is it ... can you imagine about that. I been dreaming about it every night, and I get it ... now. This is really wonderfull opportunity that GOD given me.

I have to do something else right now, I have to present my project tomorrow, so I will prepare it well. Hope that I can do it the best, and I hope that you all can be happy for me ... and yourself, because happiness can bring another happiness.

My Bad Score and the lesson about money that I get

Hi there sorry can't write to you .. because I'm quite busy for a while with Dr. Who (it's the film I watched). Now I already the watched all the series temporarily, so I can write to you one more time.

There is something bad happen today, which is the score for cryptography that I already prepared for a week, is resulted bad. I know that I already done some mistakes, but I don't think that I the one who get the lowest score from my friend :( I don't know what's wrong with me, maybe luck is not on my side this time, but I still believe this is the best for me. I'm so lucky, everything happen just for me. From my point of view there is no point to get high score over here (I mean Taiwan) because I will be go from here and the result score won't affect anything on me. What I should do now is just adapt myself to the study environment and learn mandarin, the other purpose is taking a vacation (and this should make me happy, not to make me stress)

That's it for the stresses. I will tell you what I get from the lesson I take in "Master your Money" class. There is some lesson that I need to share with you guys, that is the magic of compound. "Living today like no one else to live tomorrow like no one else". It is just simple count if you just keep the money to invest with several amount of interest regularly, even with the small amount, you will get much more result in the future. The teacher show us the example of the person who smoke, for several years, he will have spend much money in his cigars. If he just keep that money, he will get much more money in the future, that is not just for the cigars, it happen with coffee, cake and others, if that is not your need, you shouldn't buy that one. The teacher also provide us with the example of buying car. One person buy the expensive car and the other one buy the cheaper one and invest the money. For ten or twenty years later one person can only buy the same amount of the price he buy and always caught in the debt for buying the car. The other person can manage get out of debt at the second time he buy the car, because he already get the money from the investment, and at the end he can buy better car with more money in his hand. This example show that if you just can keep the money longer, you will get the advantages more longer, because money can work for you and can grow and make you more rich. You should keep the money in yours, don't spend it too much because it will end your choice if you spend them, you just lost your money slave when you spend them. On the contrary if you keep them, they will loyal to you and make more money for you, and I will become more rich with more and more money.

It's my mid term exam.

Hey back again .. Sorry that I miss to write to you in four days, it is because my midterm exam, I need to study so I am sorry that I didn't write to you, and maybe next I will more frequent absent :D ...

First, I will tell you my experience before this day. I spend my time in studying in almost a week. I don't even have time for others, like sport or watch movies. I have to face my mid term exam which is held today. Last night we get the question from last year mid term exam, and we done that question together until 2 o'clock in the morning, but there is some numbers we can't answer.

Today I face the mid term exam and fortunately the question is similar to the last year question, So we can do that question easily, but not the one that we can't answer before. Just before the test there is someone who get the answer key from last year, but after I look at that answer key it seems that a lot of wrong answer so I just keep doing that we already done it before and just consider the answer key in the question I don't really sure.

I already pass the mid term exam and until now I just watch movies to relax and now I actually quite boring just watching the movies so maybe later I will chat, see some other things that maybe can cheer my spirit up, because If I have something to do now is just study and the other things seems not important anymore. And the study I need immediately is to study the chinese language. I will study a lot of words from the book. And I guess I will do it now.

Hello there ...

Back to write my blog again ... to make my experience recorded.
... There is something important that I already decide today. I will tell you later about my story.

First as usual, I will try to explain my daily life today ...
I woke up in the morning around 12:30, same time I use to wake up when there is no class at that day. Then I buy some food, and then I realize that I just buy little and the price is around 47NT(It's around Rp. 14.000), I start to thinking that time, I used to buy in expensive canteen, because yesterday, I buy large quantity of food and just paying for 46NT, I start to realize that I already make a mistake, and I should buy to the canteen who is cheaper to cutting down my budget.

After that I ate my breakfast and see a movie titled CJ7. That is a funny movie and I laugh at several times of the movie. Then I study as usual, wash my clothes and dry them, actually my clothes don't quite dry so I hang them first to get drier. After that I buy some food again, this time I buy at the cheap canteen, there is some addition there, More tasty soup and there is tea, so I can drink. I just pay 36NT for my meal that time.

Next I study a little bit then I get some rest a little. After wake up I feel so sleepy so I decide to make coffee and try to finish my study. Even right now I haven't finish it, but surely I can finish it today (chapter 4, if possible will try a little bit on chapter 5). I will try to do the study today as much as possible because maybe tomorrow I wouldn't have time, I will go to class at the morning till noon after that maybe I will go to the carefour to buy some things. Maybe I can buy shoes there because my shoes is so smelly and I need to wash them.

Later, at night, when I study, there is a YM message from my friend, say that one of my friend who live across my room in birthday, and there is some pity, because no one remember his birthday. It's so pity for him, and my friend ask for me and other friend to say Happy Birthday for him. Then we take him to Family Mart which is open 24 hours. We buy some food for him that day. I take my camera to take that moment. I do something wrong though, I put the video at vertical position :D which is edited :D, I hope someone can edit it for me. I learn my lesson today that when I take video I should take it horizontally.

There is another decision I make today, That is I want to talk to my professor truthfully about my scholarship in Europe that maybe I will leave Taiwan. I make this decision according to my friends and my thought for several weeks. I know that if I make an excuse, that excuse can be found at the end and everything will be chaos. The situation is the same with when we want to change a company, and this is must be done, if there is some company can hire us with better payment and nice surrounding. My point is better to say the truth than saying lie (GOD like it better). My friend say to me that you should talk straight what in your mind, don't ever pretend to be something else, every foreigners (not Indonesian) like the honesty, so maybe I should talk to my professor, about the real condition of mine. I make this decision after thinking about it for several weeks. The other decision is the time I will tell him, which is around the time I want to go home, because if I say to the professor right now, I still need to see him for several times which is maybe make it difficult to us both, because I will leave him immediately and we still need to meet each other every weeks.

Boring day

This day I am really2 bored. First I woke up late at 12:30, so I spend a lot of time just to sleep. Then I have no class today, because my class at Tuesday already end, There is visiting lecture and he just staying for two months, the class hour is double though. I am so glad that class already end so now I just keep my study with 3 lecture only.

Then I get something to eat and I study some chapter, I haven't finish it yet though till now, then after that I go to run a little bit and do some exercise at the gym. After that I go to my room and read more a little bit. After that I go to bath, and eat. Then I read a little bit and sleep more, I wake up around 11 and then I know that I must print something for tomorrow so I go to my lab and print. Unfortunately the printer have paper jam all the time when I am printing, so I spend about one hour just to print 40 pages. And now I will try to finish this chapter. I hope that I will get more interesting day tomorrow. That's all for now .. Hope to be better in all aspect of my life.

Feel need to promise to myself that I should be better

I feel lucky today to have this kind of experience. I am feel lucky that I feel it right now in Taiwan not in Erasmus Mundus. Oh yeah ... I haven't told you that I get the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. I will tell you later about that.

First, I want to tell the experience I feel today. My friend refuse me to be a group with him, He feel that I am too lazy, and not useful for him to be in his group. I already forgive him for that, because if I were him maybe I will do the same way. But I don't know there is some unpleasant feeling being rejected, I feel that now, and I don't want to have the feeling one more time. I tell you before at the other day that I get my cryptography homework from my friend. This one who rejected me. Right now I already make up my mind that I should do only useful things.

I already gaming for two months and it starts when I play dot A. I know that I do something bad and it spend my time a lot. But I keep playing that because of addiction. There is something in me that want to play the game more and more. I start to realize that I already done wrong when everyone mad with me. From the point of the gamers, I still learning in playing and it make the group that I joined lose the game in a lot of games. From the point of the student, I spend a lot of time in playing dot A so I don't have much time to study. That is fine when I don't bother them, but from my habit, I always ask first before I try to find out the solution of my problem. I realize that habit is wrong, and I will try to make it change. I will find the solution first, and I surely can find it, because there is always answer for all problems. I will less asking someone for the question and homework. I will try to do it by myself, starting right now. I know that maybe I need more time, but If I want to continue my master degree and get to Phd, there is no one I can ask for, because later, maybe I was the only one who can answer for my own question.

Next, I will tell you about my Erasmus Mundus scholarship. I am so lucky to get that, The NeBCC program include three schools in three different country, which is England, Spain and Greece. I break the custom in NeBCC, that Indonesian always get in the scholarship in two years, But I am the one who can between that two years, and I am feeling so proud of myself can be someone that break the custom. In NeBCC I will get the title from three different university, in three different country, just for 1.5 years. I feel do relieve because actually I quite don't belong here, everyone is not nice here, I can't learn the chinese language like I though before. I couldn't sleep well because of the hard bed. Everything in here is so not welcome for me at last. When first I came here, I think that I will adapt to the situation, but from my point of view, right now I can't stand it anymore and want to go home immediately.

Before I go home to Indonesia and go to Europe, I will try my best here, I will try to get the best mark I can get, I will try to learn mandarin as fast as I could, and I will study all the time, I will take exercise, which is running, fitness and swimming to keep my body healthy. I will take sleep at 8 hours, so I don't waste my time. I promise that I will do this when I am here. I will fulfill it with great motivation, because it can make me better.

Next thing I want to do is to socialize, because before in my country, Indonesia, I always try to make my friends understand me, and now I will try to understand people more and more. I will keep my emotion, and my words, so I wouldn't hurt anyone. I will think twice before I say some words. I will do that to make everyone is welcome with me. But for my best friend which I don't have in here, I will try to be myself, so they can see the real me.

In the morning I went to the church. the sermon not quite interesting, so in the church I fell asleep. ... HAHAHA ... sorry ... and then I join the Mastering Your Money class at the church

In the afternoon I sleep .. not so tired but ... just like usual .. I sleep late at night or can even be say sleep in the morning so I need to sleep.

In the night ... I must finish my two homework for tommorow, NPAS (Network Performance Analysis and Simulation ) and Cryptography. oh ... sorry for the technical language, I haven't explain that I am graduate student and pursue my Master degree in Taiwan. My major is Computer Science, and I still don't know whether this major is right for me, because actually I want to pursue my study in Information System. Back to the story of homework, the NPAS homework is to write a source program, and to be truthfully, I still don't understand any of it. Fortunately I already get the answer from my friend that take that class last year, so I just give that one. The other one, which is cryptography homework is a regular homework from the text book, it's quite difficult, fortunately My friend already have the answer from the last year homework, and I can copy the answer. Mission accomplish for today. I don't know about tomorrow, I will try to work and learn harder and diligently so I don't have to experience this kind of trouble anymore.

I promise to myself I will be "More diligent" and don't do anything useless. ... That's all for today
